With approximately 120 hostages still held in Gaza, families and supporters took to the streets of Tel Aviv, urging the Israeli government and Hamas to make an agreement. Demonstrators called for the immediate return of their loved ones, emphasizing the urgency of reaching a deal.

Inside Gaza, Palestinians expressed mixed feelings about the talks. One individual hoped for a better future following the immense destruction, while another remained skeptical due to past failed negotiations. The ongoing conflict has displaced many residents, with some forced to take refuge in bombed-out schools.

Inside Gaza, Palestinians spoke with a freelancer working for CBC News about a possible ceasefire. One man says he hopes the end of this war comes with a better situation for the Palestinian people after this great destruction. I'm not optimistic, another man says, because many attempts have failed. And this time is just like the previous times. That weariness is widespread. This woman says her family has been displaced nine times. She says they are now sheltering in a bombed out school because they have nowhere else to go. We in Gaza are people who sleep with death and wake up to death, she says. We know that at any time, we can die. The pressure to reach a deal will only continue to build, including from a crucial ally. Netanyahu will visit Washington later this month and will likely meet with the US president.
