And joining us live right now to help break down this decision is legal analyst Jennifer Roman Jennifer. Thank you for joining us today. How did a case like this make national headlines? This case, I think, captured people's attentions. One because of the macabre nature of the killing. You know he's he's. He was convicted of first degree murder. He just he cut up and disposed of her body after the murder. But I think what also was really riveting was the defense strategy here. There were a lot of surprises in this case, starting with their opening statement of the defense where they seem to be promising that Brian Walsh himself was going to testify at trial. And then for the first time during the trial, we heard the defense theory that on a Walsh had died of a sudden and unexpected death and that he panicked and then you disposed of her body. So right off the bat we had some really sort of unique and interesting twists and turns in this case that I think just sort of captivated all of us. And what major pieces of evidence that the jury's deliberation ultimately come down to? What do you think? Well, they didn't have a body. They didn't have a cause of death, so I think for the jury, ultimately came down to the very condemning surveillance footage that they had of Brian Walsh. Purchasing items like the tools and implements, the hacksaw, the knife, you know, cleaning supplies, all of these things that he's caught on video and I'm still footage buying after on a Walsh was killed and then the other surveillance footage of him throwing her what we now we believe to be her body parts into various dumpsters around different towns far from his home. I think that that sort of that actual visual was so chilling, and I think that that really kind of sealed his fate for the jury. Yeah, just a sad and tragic story there, but obviously the jury making their decision today. Jennifer Roman, thank you so much for joining us.
