The charges arose from an incident in 2021, during which he was accused of firing two shots at Terrell Efron, who is also known as A$AP Relly. 

The courtroom was filled with emotions when the not guilty verdict was announced. Supporters of A$AP Rocky, including his partner Rihanna, expressed their relief with cheers, prompting the judge to intervene and maintain order. The prosecutors in the case argued that A$AP Rocky had shot at Efron in November 2021, with the intention of causing harm, resulting in the bullets grazing Efron's hand.

The defense argued that the firearm used in the incident was a prop gun and accused Efron of both perjury and attempting extortion. Following the conclusion of the trial, A$AP Rocky departed the courtroom with his family, encircled by his supporters.
