Soggy conditions will continue across parts of Florida for the remainder of the week, as tropical downpours continue to impact the Sunshine State.

Florida is experiencing ongoing heavy rainfall and flooding threats as tropical moisture continues to move across the state. High surf advisories are in effect, with large waves impacting coastal areas due to tropical systems located east of Bermuda.

The National Hurricane Center has identified a low probability for further tropical development, estimating about a 10% chance. Despite this, the combination of upper-level support and easterly winds is expected to bring continued rain and possible flooding, particularly along the I-95 corridor and coastal regions such as West Palm and the Space Coast.

So you've got high surf advisories right now, that's all wave action, right? So we're still watching the big waves from our tropical entities that are way out east of Bermuda now. But what we wanna see, notice this kind of tail that sits here that comes all the way back over Florida. That's important because that's a higher moisture content and with our easterly flow, we're gonna bring that right back into the I-95 corridor. So we've got the big waves and of course now we've got the big moisture that could be possible and that's gonna be what's sticking around with us. Now, the National Hurricane Center has outlined this zone for a slim possibility of development. It'll be very hard to develop, but as you can see, when it moves over the peninsula and sits into the Gulf, it's got about a 10% chance of maybe becoming something. But the reality is you have upper level support, you got that tropical moisture coming in with the easterly flow, but now you can clearly see, this just shows you what kind of lift we're gonna have over the next several days. I mean, we're going into the future all the way into Saturday and Sunday. Yes, it dances a little bit up and down the peninsula, which will show you where you have an increased chance for rainfall, Sunday at 11 p.m. It would be kind of near Jacksonville, but overall it impacts all of us. So that's one of the reasons why we're all gonna get the rainfall chances throughout the next couple of days. But because of that easterly flow, we'll have a better chance of seeing the best possibility of maybe some flooding and the heaviest rain out here towards West Palm or the Space Coast, Daytona.
