Well, we know very little, Nate. The people who have been invited know very little. We do know this meeting is the first of its kind in modern memory. We've got generals and admirals, basically the entire top echelon of the military, flying in without a clear understanding of why exactly they have been summoned. They are meeting at Quantico Marine Corps Base, about 35 miles south of Washington, this morning. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth called for the meeting, though military commanders were not given many details. They were just told to get here within days to hear him discuss his priorities. President Trump himself seemed unaware of the meeting when our Ed O'Keefe asked him about it last week. Then he said it's a great thing, and now it actually appears he plans to address the group as well. Of course, Democratic lawmakers have raised some security concerns here, with all of these military leaders leaving their posts at the same time and convening in one very well-publicized spot, not to mention the cost of flying all of them back to the D.C. area on short notice for what sounds like a pep talk. At least that's how President Trump described it over the weekend. He said it is simply a good chance to talk about how well the U.S. is doing militarily.
