Authorities say McGriff, who has ties to the Bronx, is suspected of killing the couple and setting their home on fire. Police Commissioner Jessica Tish announced the arrest, stating that McGriff was apprehended after being tracked through the use of the victims' credit card. The victims, a 76-year-old man and his 77-year-old wife, were found dead in their home, with the man discovered in the basement and the woman on the first floor.

A sigh of relief for many New Yorkers tonight, as police say the man with Bronx ties wanted for killing an elderly couple and setting their home on fire in Queens is in their custody. We're told police were able to track his movements because he was using the victim's credit card. On Monday morning, police say McGriff was able to get inside of a Queens home by asking to charge his phone. He then killed the elderly couple who owned that house before setting it on fire. A 76-year-old man was found in the basement stabbed multiple times and tied to a pole. His 77-year-old wife was found on the first floor severely burned.
