The winds are already starting to pick up here and as you can see today's not gonna be a good hair day for most people. Just to give you a little bit more perspective on how strong the winds are I just opened the car door a couple minutes ago and it flung open without me having to use much force. Giving you a look at the calm before the storm the strong sounds of leave rustling is taking over the island. On the shore heavy waves are coming in and even with all this the residents I spoke with are not too worried about the storm. They said they lived here through Hurricane Sandy and that was the worst they ever experienced and anything else isn't too scary. Nonetheless they said they're still prepping for the winds. We get hit with a lot of wind you know when the rain comes down and some flooding maybe down on the beginning of the island. Took down a flag last night you know worn furniture umbrellas in the back anything that get blown around.
