This is the moment Maria Carina Machado learned she had been honored with the Nobel Peace Prize. This is certainly a biggest recognition to our people. They have been part of this huge movement. We're not alone. The world recognizes this huge, epic fight. She spoke with Machado from an undisclosed location where she has been in hiding for the last year. Machado is known as Venezuela's Iron Lady. For over two decades, she has led a massive political movement challenging the country's authoritarian leaders, first President Hugo Chavez and now his successor, President Nicolás Maduro. People are chanting libertad, freedom, and rushing to get a glimpse of Maria Carina Machado. That defiance has come at a price. Maduro has repeatedly threatened to arrest her. How does this prize change your destiny, your fate, your security? I think it does give me a lot of protection. But the most important thing is that it highlights worldwide the importance of the struggle of the Venezuelan people. We were with Machado in Venezuela last year during the presidential election when Maduro claimed victory. It's a grotesque violation. Maduro's crackdown on dissent escalated, but that didn't stop her. I know you spoke with President Trump today. What do you tell him?
