Road crews have been salting and plowing, with main roads reported as clear but some back roads remaining rough. AAA expects 2.8 million students to travel for the holidays, with most driving, and authorities urge caution for all travelers.

I love a little cold weather so and it feels so Christmasy. Ingrid and so many others like Stephanie and John grabbing those last minute gifts. Well, I'm off of work today so I just did a little like last minute Christmas shopping. Taking advantage of school day closing. My wife is here home so we're doing last minute shopping. Some kids started their winter break a little early. No school today. It shut down because of the snow. That's pretty fun and there's only a little bit, but not everyone was off today. Well, honestly, I'm a teacher. I'm glad we had school today. Because if we don't have it today, then it might not happen during a spring break. So later, Mickey will be joining the 2.8 million students AAA expects to travel for the holidays. 90% will be driving. Going to travel down to my parents tonight 2 hour drive, so hopefully the roads are cleared up by the afternoon. Crews are laying down salt. Shoveling and plowing some of the back roads are pretty rough, but the main roads are all fine. They're salted heavily. Just want everyone to stay safe on the holidays, especially everyone trying to get to the mall today for a last minute Christmas shopping.
