Firefighters in Oxford, Connecticut, conducted a rescue operation after a horse fell through the ice on a pond located on Chestnut Tree Hill Road. Responders used ropes to guide the horse and chainsaws to cut a path through the ice, allowing the animal to reach safety. 

Fire officials reported that the horse was in approximately five feet of water during the incident. The coordinated efforts of the rescue team resulted in the horse being safely brought to shore.
