In response to the report, Trump has threatened legal action against The Wall Street Journal and its owner, Rupert Murdoch. Meanwhile, a subcommittee of the House Committee on Oversight has voted to subpoena the Department of Justice for files pertaining to the Epstein case. Trump has also released files on unrelated cases and criticized political rivals amid the ongoing controversy.
