Following public criticism, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko assured that he would not interfere with the agencies' independence. This intervention marks the first explicit criticism from the European Commission's executive toward Zelenskyy's government since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion. In response to ongoing protests, Zelenskyy announced plans to propose new legislation to reinforce the country's law enforcement system.
