U.S. President Donald Trump's name is among the many appearing in the Epstein files, according to the Wall Street Journal, and he was told as much earlier this year by the U.S. Justice Department.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the Justice Department discovered Trump's name multiple times in the files and informed him during a White House meeting. The context of Trump's name in the documents is unclear, and there is no indication of any wrongdoing. 

The Trump administration had previously promised to release more Epstein investigation files, but no such documents have been made public. A congressional committee has voted to subpoena the Justice Department for the files and to interview Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's associate, with bipartisan support for these measures.

The White House calling it all a continuation of fake news stories. With Trump encouraging Republicans to deflect by hurling false and misleading attacks on Democrats. Contrived false narrative that ultimately led to a years-long coup to try to undermine President Trump's presidency. Still this issue is not going away. A congressional committee voted to subpoena the Justice Department for the Epstein files and they voted in favour of interviewing Epstein's co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell asking her to sit for a deposition next month. And Katie, these are measures even some Republicans are supporting. Yeah, there is bipartisan support in Congress even though Trump wants this to go away. Anger remains within part of his MAGA base.
