Two people, a 42-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man, were shot in the stomach in the Melrose neighborhood of the Bronx. The incident occurred at 356 East 152nd Street, with police responding to the scene and transporting both victims to the hospital, where they remain in stable condition.

Authorities are searching for three suspects believed to be responsible for the shooting. The suspects reportedly fled the scene wearing black surgical masks. No arrests have been made, and police are asking anyone with information to contact the Crime Stoppers hotline.

Two people are recovering after being shot in the Melrose neighborhood of the Bronx and the people responsible are still out there right now. News 12's Brittany Cadet joins us from the 40th precinct. So Brittany what is the latest at this hour? Have police made any arrests? Yeah well right now no arrests but cops say they are still searching for three people who they believe to be responsible for this shooting. Now the shooting happened last night in the Melrose section of the Bronx and we're also told the three people who are allegedly responsible for this shooting got away and were wearing black surgical masks before they ran away. Now we're also told that the call came in minutes before 8 30 at 356 East 152nd Street last night. They found two people shot there a 42 year old woman and a 41 year old man. Both were shot in the stomach and were rushed to the hospital. Their conditions are both stable this morning and as of right now it's not clear if they were the intended targets. And at this point police say they have not made any arrests as I said earlier so if you have any information that can help police in their investigation call the Crime Stoppers hotline.
