In her first public comments Friday night, Erica Kirk was emotional, but filled with determination that the murder of her husband will not end his life's work. If you thought that my husband's mission was powerful before, you have no idea. The movement my husband built will not die. It won't. Thursday, the conservative activist's body was flown back to Arizona where he lived, escorted by Vice President J.D. Vance on Air Force Two. The manhunt for his alleged assassin lasted 33 hours. The suspect was taken into custody Friday at his parents' home in Washington, Utah, about three and a half hours southwest of the murder scene. Investigators say his father recognized his son and urged him to turn himself in. The suspect told his dad he would rather die by suicide. That's according to two law enforcement sources who said the family called a youth pastor who notified U.S. Marshals. The Marshals arrested Tyler Robinson and turned him over to the FBI. Robinson lived five miles away from his parents in St. George, Utah. CBS's Andres Gutierrez is there. This is the apartment complex where the suspect lived. Neighbors tell me that Robinson did have a roommate and they mostly kept to themselves. On Friday, the FBI hauled away several boxes of potential evidence. Cameron Turnbow is a neighbor. You gotta turn yourself in. In Phoenix, at the mortuary where Kirk's body lies, there's now a growing memorial. It hurts me that people have so much hatred in their hearts. The suspect has no prior felonies or misdemeanors on his record and prosecutors are expected to file formal charges on Tuesday ahead of his first court appearance.
