This meeting comes after Netanyahu dismissed calls to end the war and condemned recent recognitions of Palestinian statehood during a United Nations address.

Reports indicate that the proposed plan may include encouraging Palestinians to remain in Gaza and establishing a pathway to a future Palestinian state, which would mark a shift from previous U.S. positions. The plan also reportedly calls for an immediate ceasefire, return of all hostages, exclusion of Hamas from future governance, and a gradual Israeli withdrawal. The meeting occurs amid increasing international recognition of Palestinian statehood and heightened pressure on both leaders.

All right, President Trump is set to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House later today. And this comes just days after the Israeli leader dismissed calls to end the war in Gaza and condemned recent moves by nations to formally recognize Palestinian statehood during a contentious UN address that we brought you live. In a telephone interview with the Reuters news agency, President Trump said he hoped he would get Netanyahu to agree to a framework deal to end the conflict and free the remaining hostages held by Hamas. Speaking with Fox News yesterday, Netanyahu addressed the President's plan. Well, we're working on it, Jackie. It's not been finalized yet, but we're working with President Trump's team, actually, as we speak. And I hope we can make it a go because we want to free our hostages. We want to get rid of Hamas' rule and have them disarmed, Gaza demilitarized, and a new future set up for Gazans and Israelis alike. For more on today's meeting, we're joined now by CBS News foreign correspondent, Remy Inocencio, who is in our London bureau. Good morning, Remy. So what do we know about this plan? Well, Errol, yeah, good morning to you, too. We know that President Trump, at least, appears optimistic about his plan. And in that interview also with Reuters, he said he's getting a very good response from Israel and that Netanyahu, he called him BB, wants to make that deal, too. Also on Truth Social, he wrote that there is, in his opinion, a real chance for what he calls greatness in the Middle East. He says all are on board for something special, first time ever, and that we will get it done. Now, it hasn't been formally announced, but one major Israeli news organization, The Times of Israel, says that it obtained a copy of the full 21-point peace plan. And if this is confirmed, there are at least two standout departures from previous comments from President Trump. One that I'm seeing is that the U.S. would encourage Palestinians to stay in the Gaza Strip. And remember, this is notable after hugely controversial comments from the White House this year about permanently relocating all Gazans, about two million of them, out of the Strip. Another point that's notable is that it provides for the creation of a pathway to a future Palestinian state. And remember, even after Trump said last week it would be a reward to Hamas, and we also know this is a red line for Prime Minister Netanyahu. Just last week at the U.N., we were reporting, he said recognizing a state was sheer madness. And then aside from those points, the other ones, frankly, are things we've heard before, an immediate ceasefire, the immediate return of all hostages, that Hamas can't have a role in any future governance, and that Israel will gradually pull out. But you know, as this meeting with Netanyahu and Trump is happening today, pressure is rising elsewhere. You mentioned 10 more Western governments now recognize the state of Palestine since last week. And just yesterday, Hamas claimed that it lost contact with two hostages in Gaza City. But we know, ultimately, the only pressure that matters is from President Trump. Yeah, and the pressure really is on. Rami, thank you very much.
