Yeah, well Errol the the president's visit appears at least to be a mix of both the personal and Political along with protests that are expected pretty much Everywhere he goes similar to his last presidential visit that was in 2018 It looks like that. He'll be visiting his two luxury golf courses in Scotland One is Trump International on the East Coast The other is Trump Turnberry on the West and as for that reception you ask that he might get well There are some Scots admittedly who say that he's been good for the country bringing employment in but others Say in their words that he has brought Disgrace he is linked with family to Scotland and they are not happy that they're linked to him One protest leader said that most Scots were already opposed to Trump But as he's gotten more extreme that their attitudes have hardened People have been told to show up and tell Trump what they really think of him after he lands and then there's the issue of his personal security Scotland's chief of police just this morning said that it would be inappropriate to ignore what happened last year in the US Of course, that's the assassination attempt on Trump Looking ahead though. The president is also set to go into the political realm to meet Scotland's first minister That's John Sweeney. There is some tension here because he actually endorsed Kamala Harris for president But he does say that it is in Scotland's best interest to meet Trump on top of that British Prime Minister Kirstarmer also expected to travel to Scotland sometime at the end of this coming weekend They may take trade and tariffs up in their discussions specifically about British steel I bring this up because Trump has threatened 25% tariffs on British steel Starmer hopes to get those lower if not to zero Because this country's steel output has basically gone off a cliff since the 1960s down something like 80% so tariffs would make them even less competitive against producers cheaper producers around the world and you can name those Brazil India and of course China and as you said Trump Lands tomorrow.
