The flooding has stranded around 1,000 tourists in Missouri and forced the evacuation of patients from a hospital in Manipur due to overflowing rivers. Many communities remain cut off, facing power outages and limited access to essential services. Experts attribute the increasing frequency and intensity of such events to climate change.

A sudden heavy dandpour in a concentrated area over a short period of time. It's wrecked communities across northern India. In Missouri around 1,000 tourists are stranded. The repair work is progressing so the road can start functioning and the people who are stuck can commute. Those portions of the road where the roads caved in are being repaired. Hill cutting is being done so that a safe passage is created. In the northeast the floods have brought more chaos. In Manipur, waters from overflowing rivers force the removal of patients from a government hospital in the state capital, Imphal. Entire streets have been submerged, leaving people cut off. Without electricity we can't cook also, there's no connection also, we can go here and there. So we are literally stuck in a place, since it happened last time also, but nothing has improved.
