Police have launched an international manhunt for an aspiring Sydney rapper, wanted for questioning over a shooting ambush at a service station last year, that claimed the life of a 31-year-old man.

Sydney rapper YC Uzi, whose real name is Harley Johan, is the subject of an active police warrant following a fatal shooting at a Cleveland Street service station. The incident resulted in the death of 31-year-old Nadal Akhachouk, who was shot while sitting in his car. Police allege Johan was involved in the attack, which occurred in public view, and subsequently fled the country, boarding a flight to Malaysia. Authorities are now collaborating with international agencies to locate Johan and have released footage in an effort to identify his alleged accomplice. The public is being urged to assist with information that may lead to their apprehension.

Online, rapper YC Uzi is as reckless as they come. His latest music video depicts a drive-by shooting on the streets of Sydney. The video clip that I've seen is titled Reckless and it certainly is. His real name is Harley Johan and police say he's currently hiding overseas. There's now an active warrant out for his arrest. He was arrested over this deadly real-life shooting in November last year at a busy Cleveland Street service station. Investigators believe he's seen here wearing the long black cape, firing multiple shots. The victim, 31-year-old Nadal Akhachouk, died in the middle of the road after he was gunned down while he sat in his car outside the BP. It was a cold-blooded attack. Their victim had nowhere to run. Probably a horrendous shooting, brazen, quarter to eight at night, a service station, members of the public, people driving along the street there, it was pretty horrendous. Both shooters fled the scene and dumped the car at Kensington. Until now, police have remained tight-lipped on the investigation before issuing a warrant for the rapper wanted for alleged murder. Police know Harley Johan boarded a flight to Malaysia in January and they're now working with their international partners to try and locate him while they ask for the public's help to identify his alleged accomplice. Detectives have released this vision in the hope he is recognised. We'll be very grateful to the public for their assistance in relation to this.
