Two people were taken into custody after six young children, ranging in age from 2 months to 9 years, were found locked in a storage unit early Tuesday morning.

Six children, ranging in age from two months to nine years, were found locked overnight in a storage unit on Milwaukee's north side. Police responded to a report and discovered the children, who were unharmed, and subsequently arrested a 26-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man. 

Neighbors reported seeing the children and two adults in the area over the summer, describing what appeared to be a family coming and going from the facility. The incident has raised questions about security at the storage facility, and police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the case.

Adriana, just a few minutes ago, we saw a Milwaukee police forensics unit van pulling out of this lot behind me. We saw them come in about an hour and a half ago, looking at a storage unit just behind those gates. We know Milwaukee police right now is investigating after six Children were found locked at this facility overnight. Here's some video that we've gathered today and we've talked with some neighbors. One neighbor tells us that she's seen kids with two adults walking in and around the storage unit since this summer. The neighbor didn't want to go on camera, but she told me that she saw what she described as a family leaving every morning and then returning at night. Police say they were called to the storage facility early this morning for a report of Children being locked in a unit. When they got in, they found a two month old, two year old, a three year old, a five year old, seven year old and a nine year old were told the kids have no injuries. A 26 year old female and a 33 year old male were taken into custody. You don't see kids in here ever. So how is that possible? And to hear that there were several kids that were found locked in a storage unit at this facility that you use regularly. What's your reaction to that? I'm confused. How is that possible with the cameras here? Wouldn't they have noticed that? It's a question a lot of people have been asking us have these as they've been coming in and out of this storage unit to use their own spaces and facilities.
