I ALSO MET WITH SOME FAITH BASED LEADERS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS AND ASKED THEM WHAT THEY THOUGHT SOME OF THE SOLUTIONS WERE AFTER WE PRESENTED THEM WITH SOME OF THE DATA. WE TOOK A LOOK AT THE DATA. STATS FROM LORRAINE POLICE SHOW SHOTS FIRED CALLS ARE UP MORE THAN 17 PERCENT THIS YEAR OVER LAST. VIOLENT CRIME IS ALSO UP BY MORE THAN 6 PERCENT. BUT OVERALL CASES ARE ACTUALLY DOWN 6 PERCENT, INCLUDING A 16 PERCENT DROP IN PROPERTY CRIMES. CITY COUNCIL SAYS IT'S WEIGHING OPTIONS TO TACKLE ALL CRIME AND WILL FIELD COMMUNITY INPUT.
