Serbia has been revealed as the buyer in a $1.64 billion arms deal with Israeli defense firm Elbit Systems. The agreement, which spans five years, will provide Serbia with long-range precision rockets, artificial intelligence-powered drones, night vision equipment, and advanced intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance (ISTAR) systems.

This deal represents a substantial modernization of Serbia's military capabilities, moving away from older Soviet-era and Russian weaponry. The transaction highlights Israel's continued role as a major exporter of advanced military technology and reflects the resilience of its defense sector.

Now, moving to this $1.64 billion agreement, now revealed Israeli defense giant Elbit Systems announced the mega deal last week already for the supply of long-range precision rockets and UAVs, but did not say with whom. Now we can say. Nicole Tzedek, you're still here with us to name it. Oh, a little drama. Right, right, right. You see, you need some extra flair every once in a while. The big name, it seems, is Serbia. That is according to Hebrew media reports. As you mentioned, just last week Elbit mentioned and announced this $1.64 billion defense sale, but- Petty cash, right? To whom? Exactly. So I can tell you a little bit of the details as far as this defense contract. We're talking about five-year defense contract between Elbit Systems and Serbia, and what's included is a pretty major holistic upgrade. We're not just talking hardware here. We're truly talking some real-time intelligence processing. I can tell you exactly what it is. You mentioned the long-range precision strike artillery rocket systems, also artificial intelligence-powered drones, UAVs. That's interesting in itself. The war of the future. Some night vision equipment, exactly. And truly, when we're talking about the significant upgrade, that's also something known as ISTAR. This is Israel's intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance capabilities. This is pretty major for Serbia because Israel is known to have some of the greatest war tech in history. We've seen it over the past two years, front and center. But Serbia has some older war uses, some Soviet-era and Russian weapons, and so this could be a major upgrade for Serbia, $1.6 billion worth of an upgrade. And so it's interesting that we're seeing exactly what capabilities and weapons Serbia might now have as part of its arsenal. Yeah. So the secrecy becomes irrelevant when we're talking about this mega deal now. I do want us to discuss a bit further that the war definitely had an impact on the defense establishment here in Israel. Many such companies, such as Elbit, really spearheading the war that will be fought tomorrow, the war of the future. Do we see them bounce back? We've absolutely seen them bounce back as far as the export, the defense system as far as the exports, and people putting their money in these major companies. Because if there is one thing that war is good for, it's showing what a company is capable of. And there's no better country or companies than Israel's tech sector, it seems. Merely because of its mileage in the war business, let's put it that way. Exactly. We've seen it on all seven fronts at this point, and so it shouldn't come as a surprise. Israel has always been exporting many of its different tech sectors, specifically when it comes to war and weaponry. And this is just another big ticket example of that, it seems. And I'm sure we will continue to see it. And yet, if we can tie the two topics we've been discussing with you tonight, Israel is not just spearheading the, you know, inevitable industry of war, but can also very much export peace when needed, speaking relating to the aid topic we were discussing earlier.
