Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that a recent drone incursion into Polish territory was the responsibility of Russia, rejecting any suggestion that Ukraine was involved. Tusk emphasized the need for clear support from Poland's allies and cited evidence pointing to Russian involvement. 

Reports indicate that five Russian drones flew towards a NATO base in Poland, leading to heightened diplomatic activity, including the summoning of the Russian ambassador to France and an emergency UN Security Council meeting. Poland has also closed its border with Belarus ahead of a joint Russian-Belarusian military exercise, while Polish military representatives are set to receive drone training in Ukraine.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk said he expected unequivocal declarations of solidarity from Poland's allies following a meeting of the National Security Council. According to Tusk, Russian propaganda and its impact inside Poland was discussed. He dismissed any claims that Ukraine was behind the drone incursion, adding that Poland had the evidence to determine Russia was responsible. As US President Donald Trump said it could have been a mistake, Tusk answered we would also wish that the drone attack on Poland was a mistake. According to German media, citing sources within Polish services and NATO, five Russian drones deliberately flew directly towards a NATO base in Poland. Meanwhile, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Poland would send military representatives to Ukraine to receive drone training. According to French officials, the Russian ambassador to France has been summoned to the foreign ministry on Friday. Later in the day, an emergency UN Security Council meeting will be held to discuss the incident. Separately, Poland closed its borders with Belarus on Thursday evening, ahead of a Russian-Belarusian military exercise.

Officials announced the suspect accused of fatally shooting conservative activist Charlie Kirk was arrested Thursday night. The suspect was identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson. "We got him," Utah Gov. Chris Cox said at the start of the news conference.
