CBS News Foreign Correspondent Ramey Inocencio has more for us now from our London Bureau. Good morning, Ramey. Americans may not appreciate just how unusual and in some ways humiliating this is for Andrew. Break down the decision for us. Sure, Merrill, good morning. Well, the allegations have been dogging now Andrew, not Prince Andrew anymore, having sex with a minor, grooming, and links to alleged sex trafficking by Jeffrey Epstein specifically by Virginia Giuffre, who tragically killed herself just earlier this year. Now, Andrew, he's always denied these allegations, but he did pay out what many considered to be some kind of, well, it is a financial settlement, but some people say that it's a hush money settlement, largely believed to be in the millions of dollars. And now we're seeing the king, King Charles, he's kicked off this process of stripping Andrew, not just of his royal titles, Errol, but also tossing him out from his mansion home at Windsor. Now, the family of Virginia Giuffre, who said that she was 17 when Andrew had sex with her, sent a statement to CBS News' partner, the BBC here. I'm gonna read some lines for it here. It says, today, an ordinary American girl from an ordinary American family brought down a British prince with her truth and extraordinary courage. It went on to say that she declares victory in death and that the family won't stop until everyone linked to Epstein and accomplice, Julian Maxwell, are found accountable. And that statement really came within minutes after the king's statement from her brother, Skye Robertson's sister-in-law, Amanda. Right now, there's a feeling, at least from them, of satisfaction, but again, that their fight is not over with others still out there. And what, Rami, is the reaction to this? Because this has been a long-running saga. It's been all over, not just the tabloids, but the mainstream press there, too. Right, and linking the US and the UK, this has been building up over the past several years. Andrew had faced heavy criticism from the British public here, and specifically over those living arrangements and with that cloud of allegations over him. We happened to get instant reaction, which was broadcast on the BBC here. A moderator for a popular political talk show known as Question Time stopped the filming, and then she broke the news. Take a listen. Prince Andrew will no longer be Prince Andrew. He will be Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. He will surrender the lease to his home, and he will find alternative private accommodation. And the king basically, in effect, banishing Andrew, he will move north of London by about 100 miles to a private home, but that is also on a royal estate, in a state known as Sandringham. Errol.
