Oscar Piastri, currently leading the championship, finished fourth fastest in a practice session at Monza, trailing behind pace setter and title rival Lando Norris by nearly two tenths of a second. Piastri expressed confidence in his performance, stating he only needs minor adjustments to improve his pace.

During the session, Piastri was summoned to the stewards for leaving the pits too early after a red flag incident involving Kimi Antonelli. He received only a reprimand for the infraction and remains focused on preparing for the upcoming sessions.
