In California on Tuesday, a jury took less than an hour to clear Cardi B of assault allegations made in a $24 million civil lawsuit. A security guard claimed the rap star attacked her in 2018.

Cardi B, whose legal name is Belcalis Elmazar, was found not liable in a civil case in Los Angeles where she was accused of attacking security guard Amani Ellis during a visit to her OBGYN in 2018. The incident allegedly occurred when Cardi B, then four months pregnant, believed Ellis was recording and sharing her location. After five days of testimony, the jury deliberated for 56 minutes before ruling in Cardi B's favor.

Following the verdict, Cardi B reiterated her innocence and warned against frivolous lawsuits. She also asked her fans not to harass Ellis and stated her intention to focus on her upcoming album and family. Ellis maintained she had no regrets about filing the case, despite the outcome.

Moments after her legal victory, Cardi B walked out of a Los Angeles courthouse and further defended her name. I swear to God I will say it in my deathbed I did not touch that woman. The artist, whose legal name is Belcalis Elmazar, was accused of attacking security guard Amani Ellis after Ellis says Cardi thought Ellis was filming and sharing the famous rappers location during a visit to her OBGYN in 2018. When I told her why you recording me, she said, oh my bad. Practically apologized. Cardi was four months pregnant at the time, which was not publicly known. Are you disabled? Yes or no? At that moment, when you're pregnant, I'm very disabled. You want me to tell you things I can't do? Her colorful testimony turned the civil trial into a highly watched live stream and provided plenty of material for social media. You said she's bigger than you, is that correct? Absolutely. I mean, look at the fact that she was acting in a way that people don't always see in a courtroom. That actually made her more believable after five days of testimony, the jury deliberated for 56 minutes. It's fair to say that it might be a situation where the jury thought this looked more like a shakedown back outside. Cardi gave a clear warning. The next person to try to do a frivolous. Lawsuit against me. I'm going to counter soon and I'm going to make you pay. Ellis told reporters after the verdict she has no regrets about filing the case, saying quote what she did to me was real. Now as for Cardi B after the trial, she asked her fans not to harass the plaintiff warning her supporters. Leave Miss Ellis alone. Cardi also said she's now going to refocus on the launch of her new album and being a mom to her three kids guys.
