The event concluded with the young inspector receiving two medals of honour, recognising his courage and determination. The day was celebrated by his family and police officers, marking a memorable moment in his life and fulfilling his dream of joining the police force.

To save the city and recover a stolen key to a vault containing a medal for Police Dog Blue in time for the official ceremony. The theft of one of these keys was a professional job. It was carefully planned and expertly executed. The suspect was last seen in the domain where a discarded ID was found. That clue led them to a warehouse in Sydney South where tactical officers uncovered a shirt. That shirt forensically tested and belonging to a man known to police. With eyes in the sky and at sea, the team closed in. But the thieves are no match for Inspector Bryson, tracking him all the way here to the steps of the Sydney Opera House. A fanfare witnessing the chase, ending in a dramatic takedown and the key returned just in the nick of time. Not one, but two medals of honour were awarded today. Everyone's here for me. I'm so proud of myself. I'm never going to stop hearing about this. It's going to be for the rest of his life I'm going to hear everything about every second of today.
