A nor’easter is projected to move along the East Coast of the United States, bringing winds of 40 to 60 miles per hour, which reach tropical storm force. The storm is expected to affect areas from Charleston, South Carolina, up through the Outer Banks, Delmarva Peninsula, and possibly as far north as the tri-state area.

Forecast models indicate widespread rain from the Southeast Coast to the Cape, with the potential for both coastal and freshwater flooding. The heaviest impacts are anticipated from Friday through Monday, with flood threats shifting northward over time, affecting regions from Florida to the Mid-Atlantic and eventually up to the Jersey Shore.

And then as we get into the nor'easter, which is really Friday coming north, we could see this huge core of 40 to 60 mile per hour winds. So that's tropical storm force, okay? And once again, it won't take long to froth up the ocean and beat on Rodantheon Buxton once again. All right, this is Friday through Monday and it is gonna work its way from Charleston and skirt up Outer Banks, gonna get smashed yet again with big rain and wind, the Delmarva, and maybe even up towards the tri-state area of the Northeast. So of course, still watching the overall dynamics of all this, but you've got rain projected from the Southeast Coast all the way up to the Cape, as you can see here, and that means some of us will definitely be looking at freshwater flooding as well. Now, the European puts more rain a little bit farther into the inland areas and more of an area of three to five up and down the coast, which kind of makes sense. The GFS wants to target an area out here around the tidewater of the Tar Heel State, which would be devastating because it has that system kind of parked down here for longer. So let's go ahead and take a look at what that means for any coastal community. A, you're gonna need the umbrella close by. Well, really the problem is the wind could be an issue too, so maybe just grab the rain jacket, okay? We're gonna be talking about a flood threat Friday and Saturday from Florida all the way up into the Mid-Atlantic. Then Saturday into Sunday, it shifts mainly into North Carolina, but we start to introduce the Delmarva Peninsula, the southern tip there, and then from Sunday into Monday, it might go even farther up to the Jersey Shore.
