Magistrate Christopher Halberd today acknowledged the need to move Lamar's incredibly serious case along, saying you don't get any more serious allegations than this. Today the Crown Prosecutor argued a further delay was unreasonable and the accused should be required to enter a plea in the interest of justice. But the defence was granted a six-week adjournment. I'm very appreciative the magistrate gave us the adjournment to enable us to come up to speed. I'll have something to say in the fullness of time but for today that's all I can say.
