If any part of the ball touches the digital zone, it is counted as a strike, with the entire process expected to take about 15 seconds.

The ABS system has already been tested at the minor league level and was featured in the recent All-Star game. MLB officials and analysts believe the technology will bring greater consistency to the game and potentially increase fan engagement, especially among younger audiences accustomed to technological integration.
