Airports nationwide are seeing a surge in travelers as the Christmas holiday approaches, with over 11.1 million people passing through TSA checkpoints since the previous Friday. Families are navigating both weather-related delays and crowded terminals, with some airports reporting minimal security lines while others face long waits.

AAA projects that more than 122 million Americans will travel for the end-of-year holidays, with nearly 110 million expected to drive. The busiest travel period is anticipated to be the weekend between Christmas and New Year's, with Sunday predicted as the peak day for airport crowds.
