One of the employees of the Detroit City Football Club was fired after his arrest in connection with a terror threat investigation. Jarrett Maki allegedly made threats to several out-of-state businesses.

Detroit City Football Club has terminated the employment of Jared Maki, its sports information director, after he was arrested in Madison, Illinois. Maki faces charges of making terrorist threats against multiple businesses, including fast food restaurants, in Illinois. Another individual, Austin Blair, was also charged but has been released, while Maki remains in custody.

The soccer club stated that while charges do not constitute proof of guilt, the well-being of its staff and supporters is a priority. Maki, who joined the club as an intern in 2021 and graduated from Michigan State University, is currently unemployed as the legal process continues. The club has not been contacted by law enforcement regarding the matter.
