Some listings have reached as high as $31,000 for two nights, though owners note that pricing strategies are still being finalized. While the financial opportunity is substantial, some hosts emphasize the importance of providing a positive experience for guests beyond just earning extra income.

It pretty much allows you to rent your home or a bedroom during the event, which means neighbors are now thinking how they can make some extra money. It's like winning the lottery, just for those two days. Big games coming to Kansas City can mean some big money for some. This is Scott Brake. How are you doing? He's charging 300% more than he usually does on nights around the Argentina game. With Messi coming to town, we figured not only would it be a draw for Argentina to come to town, but he's also so popular in the United States. On the other days of the event, between 150 and 200%. And it is working. So we get our first booking, and we will have more. So I decided to look up myself. We're looking at the same apartment, but in May of 2026, and in June of 2026, around the time Argentina is gonna be playing. $201 for two nights in May, and $2,300 for two nights in June. But there are some that are even more expensive. This one is $31,000 for two nights, and the other one, it's $16,000. Some of the high pricing, high, high pricing that you see right now is really just that. People haven't decided on their strategy yet. Were you able to list it for higher than you thought initially? Actually lower. That being said, we're still very satisfied with the rates that we have. Scott is also considering renting his own house. We were wanting to see kind of what we were able to get per night from our primary Airbnb, and then that would help us with pricing and seeing if it would be worth it for the other property.
