The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection has suspended all poultry shows, swap meets, and movement of poultry in Jefferson and neighboring counties until the end of the year to prevent the spread of the virus.

The cancellation has affected participants from multiple states, with organizers expressing disappointment over the financial and emotional impact, especially on young participants. Despite the setback, organizers acknowledge the necessity of the measures to protect both their birds and the broader poultry community, with hopes to reschedule the event in the future.

While it's frustrating, Reagan understands the importance of protecting her birds and other birds. Some place like this, it would be devastating for us.
