U.S. President Donald Trump will travel to Egypt and Israel this weekend to attend the signing of the Gaza peace agreement, address Israel's parliament and witness the release of hostages.

President Trump is preparing to travel to the Middle East to attend the signing of a peace agreement intended to end the conflict in Gaza. The deal, developed with the assistance of Middle East envoy Steve Whitkoff and Jared Kushner, includes the imminent release of Israeli hostages and outlines steps for disarmament and reconstruction. 

The U.S. military will establish a coordination center in Israel, with around 200 service members tasked with monitoring the ceasefire and facilitating humanitarian aid. While the agreement marks significant progress, questions remain regarding the long-term political status of Palestine, as Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has stated opposition to recognizing Palestinian statehood.

He said Palestinians would not be required to leave Gaza during the reconstruction phase. Nobody is going to be forced to leave now, it's just the opposite. This is a great plan. The plan came together with two of the president's most trusted aides, Middle East envoy Steve Whitkoff and son-in-law Jared Kushner, two real estate developers turned peacemakers who were with Prime Minister Netanyahu yesterday when the Israeli cabinet approved the deal. Bringing the hostages home has been a priority for President Trump. Now the U.S. military will help to stabilize Gaza from a new coordination center in Israel. About 200 U.S. service members will monitor the ceasefire and help facilitate the flow of humanitarian aid. But questions about a long-term solution remain. Netanyahu has said Palestine can never be recognized as a state, but Trump is less definitive. We're going to see how it all goes. Today President Trump is scheduled to go to Walter Reed Hospital for what he is calling a semi-annual physical. He just had a yearly checkup six months ago, but Trump says he likes to be early, adding he thinks he's in great shape and feels good both physically and mentally. Tony.
