Recent European purchases of U.S. arms for Ukraine have reached around two billion dollars, and Kyiv is seeking approval for the delivery of long-range missiles to bolster its defence capabilities.

In the past three months, Europe has purchased around two billion dollars worth of U.S. weapons for Ukraine, under a scheme hatched by Donald Trump and NATO Chief Mark Rutte. Kiev is now calling on its partners to ramp up these purchases, and is hoping for Washington to green-light the delivery of long-range Tomahawk and Patriot missiles, which would allow Ukraine to strike deep into Russia.
