Amid the ongoing offensive, Hamas released videos of two Israeli hostages taken from the Nova music festival, with one hostage appealing to the Israeli prime minister to halt the military campaign. According to reports, Israeli forces claim to control 40 percent of Gaza City, and it is believed that 47 of the 251 hostages taken by Hamas remain in Gaza, with 22 still alive.

The IDF says the Moustaha building was being used by Hamas and steps were taken to mitigate civilian casualties. Afterwards, people dig through the ruins, searching for what they can salvage. Over at Gaza City's al-Shifa hospital, the bodies of those killed in an overnight airstrike on tents sheltering displaced people. We were sleeping peacefully in our tents when suddenly missiles struck three families. We came out to find tents burned down and people charred inside. Why? Just why? It's a green zone, a safe one as they say. Why are they striking it? Why strike a green zone? What should we do? Where can we go? Gaza City's Zaytun neighborhood? Rubble, as far as the eye can see. For several weeks, Israeli forces have bombed the area, flattening homes and killing civilians as part of its military offensive to take control of Gaza City. The IDF said on Thursday that its troops already controlled 40 percent of the city. Meanwhile, Hamas has released footage of two Israeli hostages, Alon Ohel and Guy Gilboa Dalal, both kidnapped from the Nova music festival. In one video, Gilboa Dalal is seen being driven through a neighborhood with destroyed buildings and he's heard calling on the Israeli prime minister to stop the military offensive to conquer Gaza City. Of the 251 hostages taken by Hamas, it's believed 47 are still in Gaza and 22 are still alive.

The White House said the U.S. is sending 10 F-35 fighter jets to Puerto Rico. It comes as the Defense Department confirmed that two armed Venezuelan F-16 fighter jets flew over a U.S. Navy ship in the region on Thursday.
