The Israeli military has directed over 900,000 people to move south to al-Mawasi, described as a safe zone, but reports indicate this area has also been bombed. As families continue to move in search of safety, many say there are no secure places left in Gaza City, which is being systematically emptied by ongoing attacks and forced evacuations.

The Israeli army is forcing them south to al-Mawasi, which it says is a safe zone, but has bombed repeatedly. We are heading to Khan Yunis and we don't know what to do. We keep moving. There are sick people with us and we don't know where to go. There are no safe zones. With every Israeli attack and forced evacuation order, Gaza City is being emptied, building by building, family by family. Soon what remains may not be a city, just a memory of one, Hamza Mohammed al-Jazeera.
