A hurricane warning has been issued for Bermuda as Hurricane Imelda continues to strengthen. Hurricane-force winds, large waves, a dangerous storm surge and 2-4 inches of rain will be possible Wednesday into Thursday.

Hurricane Imelda is strengthening as it moves towards Bermuda, with its exact path yet to be determined. Authorities have upgraded the alert from a watch to a hurricane warning for Bermuda, indicating that hurricane conditions are expected. The island is forecast to receive 2 to 4 inches of rainfall, and worsening weather conditions are anticipated. 

While the main impacts will be felt in Bermuda, the U.S. east coast is also expected to experience hazardous marine conditions and an increased risk of rip currents. Forecast models suggest Imelda could reach between category one and category two hurricane status, with peak winds around 100 mph according to the National Hurricane Center.

Well, you look at the models and the forecast here, many of them kind of clustered here. These computer models clustered kind of between that category one category two status. We showed you the peak there with the National Hurricane Center's forecast right around 100 MPH.
