The IJF World Judo Tour in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, highlighted the emergence of new talent in the sport. Japanese judoka Mitsuki Kondo secured her second Grand Slam gold in the under 48kg category, while Hiroto Shirakane and Kokoro Fujishiro both won gold in their debut World Judo Tour appearances in the under 60kg and under 52kg categories, respectively. 

Other notable performances included Abdurakhim Nutfoloyev's tactical victory in the under 66kg division and Ksenia Galitskaya's first Grand Slam title in the under 57kg category. The event was marked by enthusiastic support from the local crowd, contributing to an energetic atmosphere as athletes delivered memorable performances.

IJF World Judo Tour: Rising stars shine in Mongolia

The IJF World Judo Tour has arrived in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. In the under 48kg, Mitsuki Kondo faced Marina Vorobeva. Kondo claimed her second Grand Slam gold medal after holding Vorobeva down for Ippon, a dominant display from the Japanese judoka. IJF Education and Coaching Director Mr. Mohamed Maridja awarded the medals. Hiroto Shirakane faced teammate Hayato Kondo at under 60kg. A wazari in golden score took Shirakane to the top of the podium in his first ever World Judo Tour event. It was a dream debut for the young Japanese judoka on the world stage. IJF Sport Director Mr. Koze Inui awarded the medals. I was really happy to fight in Mongolia with such an enthusiastic crowd and I felt they were cheering for me. So I hope to be back again. At under 52kg, Kokoro Fujishiro faced Nandin Erdenei Nyagmasuren. A huge Ippon from Fujishiro won her the contest and the gold medal. Her first ever World Judo Tour event. On the World Judo Tour, a breakout performance. Ulan Bata Energy LLC CEO Mr. Kurelsuk Sodnomdorj awarded the medals. I was really happy to fight here in Mongolia and I think I made a lot of fans here. It's my first Grand Slam gold. I have a lot of competitors in and outside Japan, so I just want to take it a step at a time. Abdurakhim Nutfoloyev bested Denis Vieiru with a tactical win in the under 66kg, claiming Grand Slam gold. IJF Referee Director Mr. Raul Camacho Perez awarded the medals. Ksenia Galitskaya faced Ana Victoria Pulius at under 57kg. A Wazaari score was enough for her to claim gold and earn Galitskaya a first Grand Slam title. Erdene Province Judo Federation Head Mr. Arjuna Erdenei Batseren awarded the medals. Creating great moments and memories for their fans, the Mongolian judoka lit up the step arena today with some amazing judo.
