back a short clip of your voice or a selfie video that's all it takes to create AI deep fakes and scammers that using this trick your friends your family and even your co-workers and joining us now with how it all works and what it takes and what you should be looking out for is Ethan Raviv he is the CEO of cybersecurity firm Lionsgate Network Ethan thanks for joining us this afternoon thank you yeah it is unbelievable what we are now seeing on social media you don't know what to believe what kind of information do these scammers need to be able to create such accurate deep fakes they basically just need a pixel or a few pixels from your own still of your profile with Facebook or LinkedIn and they can take it from there AI tools can generate a whole video with voice cloning based on another video that has your voice in it to create a whole video and series of videos that present something that is completely malicious that you would never stand with or present to anyone Wow now either we know that AI is getting better each and every day when somebody creates one of these deep fakes what are some of the warning signs we should look out for to make sure that we're not getting scammed this is extremely difficult because before AI you could see the red flag or you could ignore it based on not being aware right any anyone who's calling you or offering you something that you don't necessarily need with AI it's very difficult because there are two things that everyone should know about AI one AI can create new things by itself and AI is the first tool in history that makes decision by itself so if someone that is a malicious entity that has access to powerful AI tools they can really disrupt your reality or perception of reality in a way that you wouldn't be able to differentiate between what is to what is made just for you and this is the big fear about a technology that is currently not regulated at all okay so we understand you created some deep fakes of the two of us so let's take a look at these deep fakes that you created how easy was it for you to do this actually we never did it before two weeks ago so we had to study the tools and investigate the tools that malicious entities are using in order to defraud people financially or from their assets or their contact lists so essentially we had reversed engineer it realize that there are few tools one for the video and one for the audio and they need to sync so we haven't reached perfection yet like other notorious groups but honestly with just another session I would be able to perfect it the 70% to 100 well I have a facelift so I don't have my mind so much although you look more like yourself I know exactly what that tie-in suit is looking at this with the haircut and everything it is kind of crazy okay so the big question here is is as we see this what can we do to prevent this from happening that's a great question first of all awareness right if we are aware then we know where to turn or to notice the new fluctuation of reality as we witness it in 2026 shortly in 2026 now almost six months from from a new year where we'll will lose complete touch I believe between reality to AI and fabrication of visual assets and vocal assets so being aware is a great opportunity and a great achievement with the changes secondly we are working on prevention tools behind the scenes basically a good AI that will combat a bad AI basically putting them together on the on the same table to use artificial intelligence to protect us from a malicious one so we're still investigating into such products all right Ethan thanks so much for your time AI is scary it is okay thank you for joining us
