The situation has led to widespread fear and panic among Palestinians, with thousands attempting to relocate despite uncertainty over their safety in the south and middle areas of Gaza. The humanitarian and health conditions are already critical, and the closure of this route is expected to exacerbate the crisis, leaving many without safe refuge or reliable access to essential supplies.

Gaza’s last lifeline road under threat as Israeli forces advance

The only route that connects the Gaza city with the south is going to be closed by the Israeli forces. And this is what the Israeli army announced earlier today. They said that at 12 p.m. the al-Rashid road is going to be an only one-way route, which is only from the north to the south, banning Palestinians from moving both ways. Now, what we see right now is Palestinians here walking on foot. Some are coming with their vehicles, where they know that this won't be the case in the next coming days, because the Israeli forces is obviously going to station or create a checkpoint just like the one that was before the ceasefire. Now, behind me is smoke, and this smoke is smoke bombs the Israeli forces are firing to cover up on their advancement. There's a definitely attack advancement in that area. And this is the Netzerim Corridor. Now, what we also need to know is the fact that Palestinians were isolated before the ceasefire. The Gaza city has been isolated. No one was allowed to move back and forth, and that the fact that the humanitarian situation, the health situation are already collapsing, this is going to prevent Palestinians to deliver anything to the northern part of the Gaza Strip. The situation is escalating, and there's a state of fear and panic and chaos among Palestinians, saying that they know that the next coming days are going to be escalating while the Israeli forces are attacking by land, air, and sea Palestinians. Now, there's no guarantee that Palestinians who are coming in those hours right now to the south or the middle area, that this won't, that the Israeli forces won't target them. There's no guarantee that the south and the middle area are safe areas, where wherever Palestinians are going, they're still being targeted. But again, there's no space for all of these Palestinians. We're talking thousands of Palestinians. We're already seeing Palestinians scattered on pavements, on the sidewalks. This means that there's no space for Palestinians. There's no place safe. And at the same time, there's no guarantee of their safety or that the Israeli forces won't target them.
