Speaking to CNBC, Ben and Jerry's co-founder, Ben Cohen, explained his issues with Magnum's decisions. Listen in. My response is that the values don't get old. The values are not too old. It's not about me. It's about maintaining the values of the company. I have no problem handing over the company to this group of investors that support the values, that support the social mission. If Magnum actually supported the social mission, I'd have no problem with them doing it. What ends up happening is that they make these beautiful statements that, oh, we support the social mission, oh, we love being social activists. At the same time, they're thwarting the actions that Ben and Jerry's has tried to take. And further in the story, on CNBC last week, Peter Ternkulva, the CEO of the Magnum ice cream company, outlined his stance when it comes to Ben and Jerry's. Ben and Jerry are run by a totally capable management team who can run a progressive social mission. Ben wants the business back. It's not for sale. I'm sorry, Ben. We run the business fantastic well, and it's sustainable because it's a good economic model as well as a good social progressive model.
