Wayne Hay is live for us now in Sydney's Bondi Beach. Wayne, the first funerals for the victims happening today, what more can you tell us? Yes, well, as you mentioned, among the first, Rabbi Eli Schlanger, born in the UK, spent the last 18 years or so here in Bondi and was among the organizers, actually, of the Hanukkah event that took place on Sunday evening here at Bondi Beach when the attack took place. Of course, there's been a delay for the Jewish victims of the shooting to have their funerals because traditionally, a Jewish funeral and burial would take place within 24 hours of death. Clearly, that hasn't been possible in this situation because of the very large police and coroner investigations that have had to go into this situation. So a bit of a delay to some of those funerals taking place, but we are expecting them to continue through the next few days. Here in Bondi Beach itself, things slowly returning to some sort of normal. Certainly, the beach is a lot busier than it has been over the past few days, but it's still a crime scene behind me. The police still have a large area cordoned off as they still go through there very carefully, collecting any evidence that may still be there and making sure that the gunmen haven't left behind any further explosive devices, but we are expecting that that area to reopen later on Wednesday. And Wayne, of course, increasing attention and focus now is turning to the surviving gunmen. Are we expecting charges to be brought against them? Yes, Navid Akram is the surviving gunman, 24 years of age. He awoke from his coma on Tuesday. Police, we believe, have been able to speak to him briefly, but they are waiting for more of his sedation to wear off before they lay what is sure to be a very long list of charges against him. We're expecting to hear in the next couple of hours from the police, so maybe some more details about that. Also, more information coming out about their trip to the Philippines that he and his father took last month. Both the Philippine and Australian authorities confirming the trip did take place. They did travel to the Southern Philippines, to the island of Mindanao, where there are several militant groups operating. The police in Australia not saying why the trip took place, but they are investigating that. But there are media reports in Australia quoting security sources saying that while they were in the Southern Philippines, they received military-style training.
