The flood threat continues along the east coast of Florida from Cape Canaveral to Miami Thursday and Friday. Showers and storms will become more widespread Thursday afternoon, impacting the I-95 corridor during the evening commute.

Florida's southeast is facing significant rainfall, affecting areas from West Palm Beach and Boca Raton down to Miami and the Everglades. The heavy rain is causing hazardous travel conditions, especially along I-75, with authorities warning of potential flooding, particularly in and around Miami. 

The flood threat is expected to persist, with several hours of intense rainfall possible. While conditions may begin to improve, especially on the I-75 side, the southeast coast remains at risk. Residents are advised to exercise caution and consider using high-profile vehicles if travel is necessary.

Those big storms will be near West Palm, near Boca, down into Miami, all across Alligator Alley, I-75 is going to be a mess to travel on, and then you get south of Fort Myers, we're talking big rainfall, all the way down into the Everglades, where it might not let up today. Today could be a big flood situation, especially if we get this to accumulate in and around Miami, because it looks like we could have several hours of very heavy rainfall, so please be careful. If you have a choice today and you're like, okay, I've got the sedan, or I've got the high-profile vehicle, take the high-profile vehicle, all right? This is going to be a pattern where you're going to wish you had that, for sure. And then we go in the morning hours tomorrow, again, starting off quiet for our Friday, maybe not as much coverage going into Friday afternoon, which, fingers crossed, would be hopeful for you guys, but again, that best flood threat is going to be targeted over here on that southeast side of the coast. Tomorrow, we'll see most of the energy on the I-95 side. Notice the I-75 side, looking nice, warm, drier air mixing in.
