The investigation is ongoing, with law enforcement obtaining search warrants and speaking with the families involved. The motive for the shooting has not been determined.

Yeah, we're continuing to follow this extremely scary scene this afternoon at Evergreen High School. Three students are in the hospital after a shooting there. Two are in critical condition and one has non life threatening injuries. And we know law enforcement considers one of those students as the suspected shooter. Denver seven has multiple crews at the scene working to learn more information about what exactly happened. And we're also hearing from a devastated community. One student and parents spoke with our Veronica Acosta earlier today about how scared they are now. There was a message over the intercom and they basically just said that like they were going into lockdown. I was in the nurse's office right before it happened. So I heard the walkie talkies before too. When you heard your little boy and saw that text come through, what's going through your mind? I got to get to him. I can't drive and I got to get to him as soon as possible. Um, it's really scary. We got here as soon as we could. And the staff was amazing at letting me in and getting me to him. And then they told me they could let me in. They couldn't let me leave because he was in the nurse's office. So I just stayed for a while with him. We're learning. Most parents have been reunited with their Children at Bergen Meadow Elementary School, where we have seen buses full of Children pouring in since the shooting. Just so heartbreaking. Denver sevens. Daniel Croyder joins us live in Evergreen right now. Danielle, you've been out there pretty much all day since this happened. Walk us through what we know so far. Well, Ryan and Micah, we know that that first call came in at 12 30 saying that there was reports of an active shooter at the Evergreen High School. I checked the bell schedule and that would be about 10 15 minutes into the entire school's lunch period. We've learned that the accused shooter is 18 boy, a student at Evergreen High School. Right now, we don't know whether the shooting was random or targeted, but we do know the gunman shot two other teens with a handgun. There were multiple shooting scenes inside the school as well as outside. The sheriff's office told us the shooter was injured. He had a gun shot wound. They also say their deputies did not fire a single shot today, but they stopped short of saying whether or not the shooter's injuries were self inflicted. There was no school resource officer at the school, but Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says their response was swift. There was no school resource officer at the school. Um, Jeff was on scene within two minutes and we're in contact with the shooter within five. Um, it's never fast enough, but we're very grateful that it was as quick as it was. We at the sheriff's department, this was our community. This was our people. This was our kids. We work with our citizens each and every day. We work with the kids in our schools each and every day. This affects us right now. We know the parents of both of the shooting victims and the parents of the shooter have been identified. Initial conversations between them and law enforcement have already begun right now. There's no known motive, but the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office say they are well into the process of obtaining, obtaining search warrants for things like the suspect's house, his locker, his car, anything that would possibly reveal any answers about why this happened.
