An AI chatbot named Tessa is going to replace them as of next Thursday. Workers wrote in a blog post that they received the news just four days after successfully unionizing. Officials from the organization told NPR the decision was due to a legal liability from a growing number of calls causing longer wait times. They said the recent unionization had nothing to do with it. Well, the helpline associate and member of the union wrote in a blog post that the eating disorder group quote claims this was a long anticipated change and that AI can better serve those with eating disorders. But don't be fooled. It isn't really about a chatbot. It's about union busting plain and simple end quote.
