And Apple did so and said it was contacted by law enforcement. The Trump administration has argued Ice Block could put agents at risk for doxing, threats or injury. But the decision to remove the app from the store has unleashed some fierce criticism from its users and its designer. The creator of the app tells CBS News it was a political decision to de-platform information being shared by people concerned of the ramp-up and tactics of federal immigration agents. The app's designer said they had one million users. The decision comes amid a growing deployment of federal agents in several U.S. cities and a months-long clampdown here in the nation's capital.
