They argued that such cases should be straightforward to prosecute and suggested the decision undermines public confidence in the justice system, particularly for victims whose views do not align with the current administration.

Doug Burns, Savannah, thank you so much for joining us. I saw your eyes closed when that video was being played. It's a lot to deal with. You were left battered and bloodied. She hit you with the phone. You had a scar, I mean, you had stitches. What happened? Why did they drop the charges? Yes, well, Alvin Bragg's DA office is infamous for caring more about criminals than victims, right? And they could not stand to prosecute a leftist or definitely not a pro-abortion person. And this is just, it's disgusting. Because like I asked Alvin Bragg on Will Cain Show the other day, if I was your daughter, Alvin Bragg, if I was your wife, would this have been the same outcome? I pray not. It's disturbing. Women are being assaulted on the streets. We see the violence from the left, what's happened with Charlie Kirk. Why no justice? No justice, and what is the reason they're giving you? Well, they reached out, they left me a voicemail. I wasn't able to answer the call at the time, but they just wanna offer me an apology. And they say that, well, every victim deserves their day in court. It's like, no, all the evidence is there that it seems that you deliberately dropped this case. And I think I know why. It's because I'm a conservative, I'm a Christian. I don't align with the politics of Alvin Bragg. Look what they did to Daniel Penney, right? Somebody who actually is a real man was trying to protect people on the subway from a deranged person, and he gets prosecuted, but then everything is on video. This could have been, this should have been the easiest case for these DAs. Everything was there, all the evidence, and then they let her off. It was literally caught on video. I mean, Doug, you're a former federal prosecutor. You're astounded. Well, let me amplify that key point. Normally, and I've been through a zillion assault cases, you might have a situation, oh, there's a problem with the witness, this and that. This thing is on video right there. It's a crystal clear assault case, and then the last point, so critical. Shoe on the other foot test, right? So let's say some big liberal person was punched in the face. The case would be brought so fast, your head would be spinning. You know, and Anthony, I mean. I investigated crimes in New York City for almost two decades, and as a. That's right, you're a former NYPD. As an investigator, I mean, these are the cases that you almost, like you pray for. I mean, think about the investigations that you do where you spend weeks and months hunting down video, talking to witnesses, trying to get people that could corroborate the story, and here we have it on live TV. We have a witness that's willing to absolutely move forward and prosecute this case, but again, we have a rogue DA in Alvin Bragg who, you know, if we rewind back to when he first took office, before he was even sworn in, he sent a memo out to all his prosecutors saying, these are the things we're no longer enforcing. Now, when you get elected DA, you don't get to rewrite the New York Penal Code. You have to, you're supposed to be the highest-ranking law enforcement officer in that borough, and he's failed, and just to take it to another level, this is why the NYPD, this is why people are fleeing every day from, I believe, one of the greatest jobs in the world. You have people with legacies in the NYPD who are telling their children and grandchildren, don't join the job that I said was the greatest ever. Why? Because they go out there and they literally have people like Alvin Bragg who handcuff them from doing their job. Well, this is, again, goes along with the theme of leftist violence. We just saw what happened at the church, right? There was an active shooting investigation happening there, active shooter. Multiple people have been shot. The shooter is down. We saw what happened in Dallas. We're seeing what's happening in Portland. President Trump trying to quell the violence, and you've got these Democrat leaders, instead of saying, thank you so much, we don't have to spend our state dollars to try to keep the peace, they're not arresting anyone, and they're trying to demonize Trump and call him a dictator, only fueling the hatred. So, Savannah, when you see that scenario play out, this leftist violence, I know you were afraid yourself after what happened to Charlie Kirk, and the fact that the justice system is not on your side and let you down, what's going through your mind? I don't even know what to say. This is not what America should be. We should be able to use our most important amendment, the right to free speech, to go out and say what we wanna say, peacefully protest, whatever it may be, without the fear of being assaulted or even murdered. But we don't live in a country like that anymore, because if you don't align perfectly with these liberal DAs, with a liberal administration, I mean, look at all the violence that we saw under President Biden, right? It's like, if you don't align with everything that they align with, well, you don't really get the same rights. Charlie Kirk said, when the conversation stops, that's when violence begins. Doug, how much of a responsibility do the DAs' office, the judges, and the Democrat leaders, how much do you think they bear? No, I mean, they have to bring a case like this just to make the point that, as Savannah said, we live in a country of free speech, where you can get up there, ask fair questions as a journalist, and not be punched in the face. But we're also seeing during the summer of love, they didn't make any arrests. We're seeing the riots happening, and they're not doing anything. Huge hypocritical double standards all over the place. We had riots, as you said, all over, you had reporters standing in front of fires, saying, this is mostly peaceful, you remember that? Yeah, and, I think we have to rewind this almost back to the very basics. Donald Trump made a promise during his campaign, and he's living it every single day. And one of those promises was, I want to make America safe again. Think about that. That is the fundamental belief of what I thought was every American. It's why law enforcement professionals throughout this country, whether it's in small villages or on the federal level, go out there and put their life on the line, standing between good and evil. And yet Democrats, they're fighting it. We don't want to make America safe again. I mean, what world do we live in? Thank God we have President Trump's leadership. We gotta leave it right there, stay right there. We are going to continue following what's going on in Portland, and also that church shooting in Michigan.
