Prominent Utah leaders have expressed condolences following the death of Russell M. Nelson, president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Governor Cox described Nelson as 'the best of men' and highlighted his role as a spiritual leader, while Mitt Romney praised Nelson's kindness and his efforts to expand the church and center its teachings on Jesus Christ.

Other officials, such as Senator Mike Lee and House Speaker Mike Schultz, also issued statements recognizing Nelson's leadership and lifelong service.
